News, Events and Photos. Welcome to the Bangor Independent Christian School homepage. Our school opened in September 1985 on the Clandeboye Road in Bangor adjacent to the Free Presbyterian Church. Ours is one of seven such schools in Northern Ireland and was opened as a result of growing concern among Christian parents over the increasing influence of evolution, ecumenism and humanism in State Education.

We are administered by Clogher Valley Free Presbyterian Church, and we have an intake from a wide geographical area from both County Tyrone and County Fermanagh. The Christian Education movement was pioneered within the Free Presbyterian Church of Ulster when on Tuesday 4th September 1979, Kilskeery Independent Christian School first opened its doors to 13 pupils. Trying to see the upside to living in North Antrim - apparently there is one! Tuesday, 18 June 2013. Played golf at Cushendall recently and took a few snaps to record the view out towards the North Channel. It was a lovely day and despite the quality of the golf was enjoyed by all. An excellent meal and a few drinks completed the day. A very friendly membership at Cushendall GC and a visit is recommended. Monday, 25 February 2013.
